GANESHA AMATEUR GOLF INVITATIONAL 2010

IMPERIAL KLUB GOLF, LIPPO KARAWACI, TANGERANG

15th to 18th June 2010.

CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

1. ORGANIZER

The GANESHA AMATEUR GOLF INVITATIONAL 2010 (Men & Ladies) shall be managed and Organized by a Championship Committee (PGG), appointed by the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI), hereinafter called the ‘COMMITTEE’.

2. VENUE

3. DATES

Championship Rounds: 4 rounds of 18 holes per day : 15th to 18th June 2010.

4. ELIGIBILITY

The Championship entries are open to all amateur male and female at birth (local and overseas) golfers who have a maximum USGA Handicap Index as follows:

Individual event with maximum up to date USGA Handicap Index: 9.8 or Course Handicap 12 for Men and 11.7 or Course Handicap 14 for Ladies as of June 1, 2010.

Participant must register with an official up to date USGA Handicap Index from their respective Golf Union or club. If a player has his Handicap Index maintained at more than one Club, he shall play off the lower/lowest Handicap Index.

Amateur Status: All players must conform with R&A Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the Rules of Golf.

5. ADMINISTRATION

The Championship Committee of The Ganesha Amateur Golf Invitational 2010 will be responsible for the running of the championships. It reserves the right to limit the number of entries and modify the Championships in any way it considers desirable. It decisions in all matters relative to the Championships shall be final.

6. SIZE OF FIELD

The field shall be limited to 120 players. Each club, Association or Union member may send as many as they want, on first

come first served basis. Overseas players will be limited to 40. The registration will be closed on June 7, 2010 or when 120

players have registered. The Committee also reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving any reason for such

refusal.  The decisions of the Committee as to the acceptance or refusal of any entry shall be final.

7. FORMAT

Men

The Championship shall be played over four rounds of 18 holes each day and based on stroke play

Individual Event: 72 holes stroke play from 15th to 18th June 2010. A cut-off will be made after 36

Holes (2nd round). The Champion for this event will be the player with the lowest aggregate gross score for 72 holes. Players missing the cut will automatically play for the Individual Net Event.

Ladies

The Championship shall be played over three rounds of 18 holes each day and based on stroke play

Individual Event: 54 holes stroke play from 16th to 18th June 2010.

The Champion for this event will be the player with the lowest aggregate gross score for 54 holes. Players missing the

individual gross event will automatically play for the Individual Net Event.

8. TEEING GROUND

Men :

Play will be from the Gold Tee: 7206 yards (75.4/143)

Ladies:

Play will be from the Blue Tee: 6303 yards (72.2/135)

9. CUT OFF

Men:

After 36 holes, 40 best score players + ties will continue to play in the third and fourth

round for the Championship title.

10. DRIVING CLUBS

Any driver the player carries must have a club head, identified by model and loft that is named on the current List of

Conforming Driver Heads issued by the R&A or USGA.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: DISQUALIFICATION

11. LIST of CONFORMING GOLF BALLS

The ball the player plays must be named on the current list of conforming golf balls issued by the R&A or USGA.

12. AWARDS

Individual Men and Ladies Gross (Championship): Trophies will be awarded to the Champion and 3 Runner-ups of each

category.

Individual Net event Men and Ladies: Trophies will be awarded to the Champion and 3 Runner-ups of each category.

The Champion of the Individual Gross Event (Men and Ladies) of each category will be awarded a Challenge Trophy by

Ganesha Golf Club (PGG).

13. TIES

In case of a tie the Committee will decide as follows:

Individual Gross (Championship):

a. In the event of a tie or ties for the first place, the Champion shall be decided by a hole by hole play-off.  The purpose of a play-off is to decide for the Champion only. In the event of inclement weather or any other reason that makes the play-off not feasible, the Committee’s decision to determine how the Champion will be decided is final.

.            b. All other ties will be decided by matching score cards (i.e.following count back system):

The score of the last 9 holes (10-18), the last 6 holes (13-18), the last 3 holes (16-18), and if necessary the last

hole. If it is still a tie, the winner will be decided by a draw.

Individual Net Event:

The winner and all other places will be decided by matching score cards based on count back

system as follows:

The best nett score of the last 9 holes (10-18) 1/2 of the handicap should be deducted, the last 6 holes (13-18)

deduct 1/3 handicap, the last 3 holes (16-18) deduct1/6 handicap, and if necessary the last hole deduct 1/18

handicap. If it is still a tie, the winner will be decided by a draw.

All entries must reach the Organizing Committee on or before June 7, 2010, and Registration will only be valid and accepted

after the fund is received by (Imperial Klub Golf Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang) and approved by the Committee.

Entries must be on the official entry form duly endorsed by the Captain, General Manager or Golf Manager of players’ home

club.

The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving any reason for such refusal.  The decisions of the

Committee as to the acceptance or refusal of any entry shall be final.

15. OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND

The course is available to players for practice on Monday, June 14, 2010 (am only).

b. Please inform the Committee to book for your practice round

c. During practice rounds, use of multiple balls (for practice purpose) are not allowed.

d. Players are not allowed to practice on the course after their round on any day of the Championship.

Breach of condition is Disqualification.
Driving range (will open at 6.30am during the Championship.) Range balls are available at

Rp. 30, 000, - /50 balls. (Paid direct to host club)

16. RULES OF GOLF

The Championship will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf approved by the R&A Rules Limited , the PGI Hard

Card, the Conditions of Competion and the Local Rules approved by the Organizing Committee. Disputes, if any, will be

settled by the Organizing Committee, and a decision made by the Organizing Committee will be final.

17. PACE of PLAY

Pace of Play will be strictly implemented and a separate sheet will be distributed at the time of the Championships.

18. APPEALS & CLOSE of CHAMPIONSHIP

a. Appeals are to be submitted to the Tournament Committee in writing duly signed by the player or

the Player’s Manager within 15 (fifteen) minutes of the completion of each round.

b. The Championship is deemed to have close when the Trophy has been presented to the winning

Individual at the prize giving and closing ceremony.

19. OTHERS

a. Players shall start at the time and in the order indicated in the draw.  No substitution of players and changes of starting times or groups will be permitted after the draw has been made and posted.

b. The draw for the first and second rounds will be made by the Committee prior to start of the

Championship.

c. Players must use only caddies assigned by the host club.

d. Players must walk at all times during each round, unless otherwise authorized by the Committee.

e. Soft spikes shoes are compulsory.

f. All competitors must be appropriately attired in collared T-shirts and tailored pants.  Mock neck shirts are permitted. Bermuda shorts are allowed.

g. Use of cellular phones are strictly forbidden during play. The use of it will be considered as unbecoming conduct.

20. ACCOMODATION

Imperial Aryaduta Hotel is designated as the “Official Hotel” for participants and supporters.

Shopping complex and dining facilities are located 10 minutes from hotel. The hotel is situated 10 minutes walking

distance from Imperial Klub Golf.

Hotel rate will be informed immediately as soon as we received the current rate from the hotel.

All rates are subject to 10% service charge and prevailing government taxes.

21. TRANSPORTATION

Local transportation from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport to Aryaduta Hotel is available by taxi or airport service. The

committee shall provide Airport transport for big group upon request. The hotel is located approx 40 minutes from the

airport. Taxi services rate are Rp.100.000. Transportation by bus from the hotel to / from Imperial Klub Golf for players will

be available. Bus schedule will be posted at the hotel.

22. MEALS

Meals are available at the Imperial Klub Golf on a cash basis.

23. INSURANCE

All players are required to have appropriate golfing insurance.

24. FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS

a) Visitors to Indonesia must hold valid travel documents with minimum validity of 6 months.

b) Countries outside the ASEAN Nation may require an entry visa please check with the Indonesian Embassy for confirmation in countries of residence.

25. TOURNAMENT REFEREE

The Tournament Referee’s decision on all matters pertaining to the Rules of Golf is final.

26. SPECTATORS

a) Spectators may be allowed on course subject to the permission of the hosting club and must remain on the cart paths at all times.

b) Spectators are not allowed to use the buggy on the course at any time during the championship.
